Since the ThinkPad T61, the power consumption issue while at suspend status trouble me a lot. Consumption about 8% to 12% only one night suspend. Although my battery is only used as UPS, but the signal of total charge and discharge make me headache. This never happened when I used thinkpad T40 before.
I searched some solutions at the internet, closed the wake-up call suspend function of network card, wireless card, Modem, the problem is still unresolved.
I inadvertently saw the command-line tool powercfg and study all the parameters, then run the command
“C: > powercfg-devicequery wake_programmable
ThinkPad Modem
HID-compliant mouse (001)
Intel (R) 82566MM Gigabit Network Connection
High Definition Audio Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN”
Then it said “Device for user to wake-up system from a sleep mode “
The first line is the modem, the second line is an external mouse, the third line is the built-in network card, the last line of “High Definition Audio Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN” caught my attention, in front of the wireless card is “High Definition Audio”. There may be a bug, I run the following:
C: > powercfg-devicequery wake_armed
High Definition Audio
Note here there is a device configured for wake-up call.
Run the command “powercfg-devicedisablewake “ThinkPad Modem”” to shut Modem wake-up switch.
But you can not use the same method to close the “High Definition Audio”.
Open the Device Manager, but can not find this “High Definition Audio”. And then in the menu “View” inside the election, “according to sort of equipment to connect”, the following will be able to find the “High Definition Audio Controller”.
Check its properties there was also a “power management”, remove the wake-up call switch.
Now re-run
C: > powercfg-devicequery wake_armed
There are no devices configured for wake-up call.
That night, I read about electricity,98%,then suspend. And then unplug the power, sleep.
I Came to the Office next morning, open the power supply to resume from suspended status, 98% of electricity,! ! ! Get! ! !
