Why all the unfavorable reviews? The digital nikon coolpix camera is good-looking and quite an eye-catcher! The touch screen is respondent and I find that using the stylus helps against fingerprints. The screen is nice and large but, like some other reviews, is a little grainy. Be assured the actual grade of the pic on the digital nikon coolpix camera is much better than what you see on the screen. Images are crystal clear and true to color! So far I especially liked having the ability to write on a photograph with the stylus.
I have been testing this camera in a array of conditions and subject matter and I just adore it. As a pro in the field, I wanted a camera that would have the zoom capability and the image quality of more pricey ( and heavier, bulkier ‘pro’ hardware ) mixed with the spontaneity and efficiency of a point & shoot, one-hand camera.
The digital nikon coolpix camera PROVIDES all that for me in a great tiny unit that is easy to work with, light to carry, superbly intuitive to navigate and still yields glorious prime quality images. At four hundred dollars out the door at a shop, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I compared it with everything in that price range and it just blew the others completely away.
If you have $800-$1000 sure, go ahead and get one of the next level dSLRs like the D40 or D60. But if you do not wish to be dealing with lens changes and like to ’shoot-on-the-go’, then you simply can’t do better than the digital nikon coolpix camera. It is a versatile, easy to use product with a reasonable price-tag.
The digital nikon coolpix camera is as easy to use as an automated point and shoot for the occasional user, plus all the bells like shutter priority, aperture concern and autofocus. You can shoot many frames per -sec for still photographs and can take videos.
Oh, and the price tag is 25 per/cent less than the small 4 mega-pixel camera that it replaced. I recommend buying a two year guaranty extension, available for roughly $15, a bargain.
